BZU BZU Turns a Record-Breaking Donation Into a Million Acts of Care
A baby’s everyday needs may seem small, but for families facing financial hardship, even essential items can add pressure to an already stretched household budget. BZU BZU is putting that reality at the heart of its latest community initiative, using a record-breaking donation to support families across Malaysia.
On 15 October 2026, the family care brand earned a Malaysia Book of Records title for “Most Baby Diapers Donated in a Charity Campaign” through its A Million Acts of Care initiative. The campaign involved donating 30,000 packs of BZU BZU VelvetBreeze Baby Diapers, equivalent to 1,578,448 individual diaper pieces, to three Malaysian charitable organizations.
The milestone was marked in the presence of Yang Amat Mulia Tengku Datin Paduka Setia Zatashah Binti Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, Chairperson of Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia, alongside Encik Johan Halid, CEO of the organisation, Dr. Shahrizal Azwan, CEO of the Malaysian Relief Agency, and Puan Laili Ismail, President of PERTIWI.
Turning a Record Into Real Support
The donated diapers will be distributed through the community networks of Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia (YFBM), the Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA) and PERTIWI. The intended beneficiaries include flood-affected families, B40 and underprivileged communities, refugees, and families living in public housing programmes.
By focusing on an everyday necessity, the initiative highlights a practical aspect of family support. For parents and caregivers navigating financial pressures, access to essential childcare supplies can help ease some of the demands of daily life.
Encik Johan Halid, CEO of YFBM, highlighted the difference basic necessities can make to families facing difficult circumstances, particularly when it comes to children’s comfort, cleanliness and dignity.
A Continued Commitment to Community Care
The campaign builds on BZU BZU’s previous community initiatives. In 2020, the brand partnered with Malaysia’s Ministry of Education to provide more than 100,000 medical-grade face masks to underprivileged students across the country.
For Raphael Jiang, CEO and Co-Founder of Elite Beauty Asia, the company behind the brand, the record itself is only one part of the achievement. The greater impact, he noted, will be felt in the months ahead as the donated diapers reach families across Malaysia.
That distinction gives A Million Acts of Care its central message. While a national record marks a moment worth celebrating, the purpose of the campaign extends beyond the announcement to the people who will receive the support.
Because meaningful care does not always begin with grand gestures. Sometimes, it starts with making sure families have the essentials they need, one day at a time.
